| | Update workflow attribute for running workflow Hi,
Is it possible to update a workflow attribute for running workflow.
A webreport is running triggered by a predefined value of a workflow attribute. As I want the webreport only to run once, I want to update the workflow attribute after the webreport finished.
Any thoughts?
Rgds,

Hi Gavin,
If a WebReport is being used to trigger the workflow then we can set this data using the action sub-tags associated with the workflow destination to set data at point of initiation.
If you need to update an attribute in a workflow that is already executing then you need WebReports Extensions for Workflow (WxW). WxW provides a number of new features, one of which is a new WebReports workflow step. You would use this step to trigger a WR that would set the data using the same sub-tags you use to set data in a new workflow being initiated.
Not sure if you have WxW – it’s pretty widely deployed now – email info@ if you need more details.
Thanks, Lee. | |
| | Ok, thanks. We got the initial installation of the Extension module as a free offer for the 1st version with limited support. I might test if this is sufficient however the support is missing and future upgrades are not free anymore. All understandable of course but currently there is no budget to purchase any additional software.
Thanks,

| | Hi Gavin,
Just to clarify on the upgrades to WebReports Extensions for Workflow (WxW): Compatibility upgrades will be provided (for free) on WxW 1.0. However major new versions with new features may not be provided for free.
Cheers,
Steve.
